Vodacom Huawei P8 Lite - Dual Sim?

Hi gents,

I see some topics with regards to the Vodacom version of the Huawei P8 Lite and the dual sim being locked via software.

I am about to upgrade my existing contract to the Vodacom Huawei P8 Lite, but I just want to confirm that the 2nd tray does indeed support both microSD or nano SIM?

Also, has anyone else had success regarding the dual sim software upgrades mentioned in other threads?

I need dual sim, or I won't be upgrading to this phone.

Ockie can perhaps confirm, but single sim it is. Only when you buy it cash and not via the normal Cell people will it be dual sim.

Dual simcards are not in Vodacom's interest. Their business model is to create a dependency on them -and only them. Once this happens the sky is the limit with their charges..A dual simcard would allow you to procure data from Rain at a third of the cost that Vodacom charge whil still retaining airtime with them. So that's why you can't have a dual SIM. Some phones are manufactured with dual SIM slots. Vodacom s response - disable one.. this in my view is anti competitive and I'm sure the competition commission would have a view on it
