I bought an internet starter package for my Dad:

The Vodacom Internet Starter Pack includes:
K3570-Z USB Modem or similar modem
100MB of data every month for 12 months
A Prepaid SIM card

He seems to use up the data very quickly even after we buy more data, so was thinking of getting him on another package, the modem it came with , can it only be used with Vodacom or can I slot in a Cell C sim or even MTN?

The Modem is not network locked, you can use it with any network of your choice. I'd suggest getting the 8ta 2+1GB special for R149, provided you have coverage.
