Vodacom K4505 on Cell C

Hi

Am having trouble setting up Vodacom K4505 (Huawei E1820) with the new Cell C simcard. The Cell C dashboard does not find the device.

What are the steps for installing this device to use a cellc simcard?

This device should work with the Cell-C dashboard. Make sure that Vodacom Mobile Broadband is not running in the background and is configured not to automatically start with Windows.

I'd recommend that you completely uninstall the Vodaphone software.

Install a copy of Mobile Partner

Reboot the PC and insert the modem and cancel the Vodafone install if it tries to start again!

Once detected set up a connection profile, with APN as internet and dial string as *99# save and make the default.

If you want to flash Mobile Partner to the K4505 PM me for a link because flashing any old version can brick the K4505!

Thanks for the replies guys. I have managed. Wanted to use the Cell C dashboard to enter the voucher number, but will use phone to do that.

Both Mobile Partner and MDMA allow direct entry of USSD commands such as voucher recharge and balance checking...
