Vodacom launches eSIM support

A good start! Now I wish they'd improve EVERYTHING else

Probably the same way you Rica a regular one. To connect to a network it'd have to be registered

I'm just wondering what happens when you go to say Checkers and say I need to RICA my eSIM and they want to see the SIM card and scan a barcode that identifies the SIM.

Maybe one can only RICA an eSIM at the store where one purchases the device that has an embedded SIM.

And what if that is an online store like Takealot?

Edit: Crazy that there are two threads for the same discussion (it's Hella Massive Confusing).

You'll be able to register wherever you buy it I imagine. They'd have the IMEI of the esim.
