I've been fishing for a cell phone package that I can use as a modem only, I don't want data cards in my pc as I use the connection at home and @ work and on the move so I don't want to unplug and plug all the time.
the best package I found was with MTN, its a T630 for R9 per month with the usual rip off stuff to total R35 per month includes 85 off peak 15 peak and 15 sms.
this combination is winning over customers, I know MTN is slower but money talks
vodacom should start offering better packages because you are loosing customers.
I bought 2 of these contracts and the phone is amazing. simple but totaly usefull.

I'm sure Vodacom has other decent packages to compete. Money talks? Vodacom was the first to significantly drop data rates. MTN followed months later. Vodacom was first with 3G. You satisfied with GPRS? Not me.

Just waiting for a Nokia 3G from Vodacom, though. They won't be LOSING this customer anytime soon! ;)

I'm staying with vodacom as far as it goes with data, they still rock but the cell packages could be better.
yes GPRS is more than sufficient especialy at the speed that vodacom is capable of achieving, its far better than ISDN.
the service is brilliant and the technical knowlege first class.
but i am joe soap, the man on the street and not every one knows/cares who was first, its what we can get with our hard earned money that makes up our minds.
