They don't seem to work on the Vodacom website. You click on the icon and nothing happens.
The website is actually vile in general, but I would like to find out if there is coverage in my area please.

Ja, tested it now on my side and when you try and put in a address it clears the address it seems when you press space bar. Strange. Hope they fix it soon

Missy, I just checked on my corporate system and the coverage checker is working on there. If you like, PM me the address you want to check and I will do it for you.

I found that the map works but I'm not so sure that it is even worth looking at.

Where I live is slap bang in the middle of a large purple patch on the map. To me, this indicates that I should have no trouble connecting with LTE. WRONG!

My ZTE K5008-Z modem has its connection set to 4G Preferred but it has never connected at anything other than HSUPA. I tried changing the setting to 4G Only but it then doesn't connect at all.

The 3G connection is adequate for my present needs (24.94Mbps download and 3.54Mbps upload a few minutes ago at 15:45) so I don't really need LTE. On the other hand, I spent good money for a modem capable of LTE based on the fact that I have LTE coverage and I now find that I could have settled for a cheaper 3G modem.

Ockie, thank you very much. That is what I call SERVICE. (Quietly humming "Deep Purple" in the background.)

I didn't even have to wait 30 minutes. I received an SMS a few moments after I sent the PM and after a reboot here we are.

The signal strength is down to 4 bars in place of the 5 bars I get on 3G. Download speed is significantly higher at 30Mbps whereas at this time of day I would normally expect about 12Mbps on 3G.

Ockie. I know this is a bit off topic but do you know if Vodacom intends to increase their coverage. Thing is I've been a Vodacom customer for years but live in a dead spot between transmitters so I just about get Edge but have no 3g or Lte coverage but few streets either side there is.

Hi. The number you sent me does not seem to be in the format that my system can recognise. How many people are on this property?

Who is this question for?

Hi. I did not see your message. Was for the OP. We can log a call for you and see if network can do anything or they will see if there is perhaps a planned tower already in progress.
