Vodacom on wiki - new and improved :)

Arggh.. there are spalling mysteiks man

Another bad article. Wikipedia has been going downhill now for a while. A lot of that articles content doesn't belong in an Encyclopedia and certainly doesn't deserve the prominance it has. That really is the problem with wikipedia, somebody that dislikes a company can just go along and write a disparaging article thinly veiled as an "objective, encyclopedia style" entry

I really wish wikipedia had a simple "report a bad post" button that brought the article to the proper editors attention.
I suppose I could just notify Vodacom, but that is still more of a lass than I am willing to deal with

There are ways to flag articles ... I cannot remember right now, if I get some time later I'll see if I can find the info in the help files ...

I think whoever wrote this is speaking the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth; spelling mistakes and all.

The writer desrves a medal

Thats the beauty of wikipedia though, if you think an article can be improved in some way - hit that edit button and improve it :)

It is both the beauty and the downfall of wikipedia. When you rely on the general public for content you open yourself up to extreme levels of stupidity, bias and malicious behavior. Even on this forum where we would expect participants to be better educated and more responsible we see disruptive behavior.

Considering that wikipedia covers so many topics and attracts such a large audience I find it quite amazing that they manage to filter the garbage most of the time and generally deliver quality information. They may not be perfect but what they have achieved is truly impressive, but like everything you read on the internet, or anywhere else, you should try to verify information via other reputable sources before accepting it as accurate.
