Hi,

I am hoping that someone at Vodacom will read this.

The online chat 'help' (sic) has a really really frustrating behaviour.

https://help.vodacom.co.za/personal/vodacomchat?msisdn=xxxxxxxxx

In a web browser, it does not return focus to the User Text Entry field.
  • After every line you type
  • when you press <Return>
  • and the Operator or whatever responds
  • you have to pick up your mouse, and return focus to the entry field
This is idiot level 101 coding.

Please can someone fix it.

Thanks

You should edit your link, as that looks like your phone number in there

Thanks.
Done.

My bad.
Typing in frustration can lead to oversight.

Could you please also remove it from your quoted text ?

Isn't the online chat feature just some sort of bot on the other end?

I hardly ever use an online chat feature on a company website. Usually feels like speaking to a robot.

There are 2 chat options.

1. A self-service Bot
2. A consultant chat

I'm referring to 2

Have you tried getting through to a human on the phone lately ?

Call Centre (local and abroad):
082 135

This customer help line has 4 IVR options, every one of which takes you through to a pre-recorded help message ... and then cuts you off.

No talk to a consultant option.

Vodacom do not care. At all.

Take the money and run.

That's their internal motto.
