How are the OOB data supposed to work on Vodacom. I have activated it through the USSD 135 and got confirmation that it is activated. Every time my airtime is still going down as soon as my data runs out. I do not normally use Vodacom data only when I travel maybe once every 2 months or so. I do not even get SMS from Vodacom to say what percentage my data is. I have logged it now various times and every time someone from Vodacom says you must have data on your phone so that your airtime do not disappear. and then you must switch of data on your phone. I have read through ICASA regulations and it does not state that.

Well if you activated out-of-bundle BILLING then that is the expected behaviour.

This behaviour I have noticed this past week on a prepaid number. It doesn't seem to use all your Airtime but perhaps R10 or so and then send an SMS telling you that you have used X amount of airtime in out of bundle fees.

Never requested OOB to enabled so it should be disabled by default as per the law? Or does Vodacom take R1 from a million people and hope nobody notices?
