I live in Mahikeng there is no coverage for Vodacom
 
Really struggling to make calls and data does not work at all. Centurion area.
 
@rpm Seems like intermittent services. Vodacom you can't make calls off network. Data very intermittent... downdetector shows issues since around 10am.
 
Switched to 3G ... seems more stable. Constansty getting No service prior to that (4g, no lte). However , if I make a call, up to 4 bars and then afterwards, 1 bar and No Service
 
Yep, I can only send text whatsapp messages when we are on loadshedding in my suburb in the Cape. No gifs, pictures or videos will go through.
 
Yeah vodacom has failed me twice so far today. Really bad signal rest of the time. This country is in a mess thanks to Eskom

Everyone that is saying loadshedding loadshedding but the issues seemed like it was not related to loadshedding. Area had power and calls vodacom to vodacom was working but calls to other network were not and data was also not working. MTN and Telkom was fine. By the looks of downdetector it was widespread especially in Tshwane and Tshwane was not loadshedding due to the substation issue.
 
Vodacom Centurion data has been on Edge for the last few days. Not sure how load shedding can last 36 hours and more so there is definitely a bigger problem.
