Vodacom Packet Data Problems

So whats wrong
Everyone that I know using Vodacom in Cape Town are having "Temporary Network Problem" or "Connection not Available" errors since 11:30. ALSO VERY VERY SLOW

Following is affected that I know about
- MMS
- Connections from cellphone to internet APN, Vlive APN, (internetvpn not tested)
- Dashboard does not connect

guys what does DNS error mean on a cellphone?

my wife has the Samsung E250 and keeps getting this message and she has phoned vodacom on a few times to find out the problem but the settings they gave her still do not work. i tried to find info online but most if not all i found linkd this problem to laptops or pcs and nothing really for a normal cell phone.

You could have phone setup problem. Accessing www on phones and pcs uses the same DNS servers viz., 196.207.40.165 and 196.207.40.167. So if other internet accessing devices in your home using VC works ok then its the phone setup.
