Hi.

I am on MTN and coverage is shocking in my area - I am constantly having to airplane mode on/off to get signal and function etc. I am tired of this.

I like the new Vodacom Powerflex deals but no mention of porting from MTN - they speak to new sim orders only.

Has anyone ordered and powerflex deal and then ported their old number to that new powerflex number and had success? will this work?

Any help of feedback much appreciated.

Any update here on when this might happen?

I’ve looked now and can’t see an option to port my current number to Vodacom PowerFlex.

Trying to run away from MTN’s shocking customer service.

Also in same boat - anyone know?

Can’t believe how bad Vodacom’s signal is! I ported back to MTN already (well, Melon Mobile, actually). I find MTN’s customer service and app utterly useless… don’t want to give them a cent, at least not directly.

Melon’s service is fantastic - especially their WhatsApp support. They’re really on the ball… Melons mobile app tho - it is a little strange - but it works.

Now that I’m back on the MTN network, I actually have mobile internet and a reliable cell signal for calls.

Phew… glad that month of horror is over! I won’t be going back to Vodacom anytime soon.
