Hey all,
My father-in-law tried to purchase a standard once-off data bundle this week, think it was Tuesday, however the option wasn't available on the website zone he usually goes to (he only buys small bundles when needed as he doesn't use 3G much on this phone and the data rolls over 2 months, so he tries to load the first few days every second month) - he could only find the promotional bundle which he eventually went with after checking the T&C's, etc. He assumed that it would then run until the end of June, per the normal bundles...
The T&C's indicated that the promo bundle would be active for 30 days from purchase, so he went ahead and purchased as he needed the data - on checking his balance yesterday, it now says that it will expire on the 31st May! That means it'll only run for about a week until month end.
How can Vodacom advertise such things then apply something totally different?
I added a data bundle yesterday on my contract phone and also couldn't access the standard once off bundle via the website, so ended up using the *111# method - the bundle is now loaded and I assume it will run to the end of June as normal, but am now worried that mine will also expire on the 31st May...
Any ideas? There seems to be no consistancy with this nor any transparent information on their site of T&C's.
Will be contacting Vodacom Monday to try and establish what the "actual" terms are with these purchases.
