I recently purchased a new SIM card and RICAed it. I then loaded airtime and a few hours later converted it to a data bundle.
Everything seems to have been in order, but while surfing I received a notification that my data was depleted. This was not expected as the data bundle was large enough to support far more surfing, and the Vodacom 082155 helpdesk said that my data was consumed at out of bundle rates because the data bundle was not activated.
What is strange is that the agent could see the activated data bundle, but they could also see that it was not added to the account. It strangely also showed that I depleted the whole bundle despite the fact that it was not activated.
Vodacom promised to activate the data bundle with 24 hours.
