What in the world is Vodacom suddenly up to? When I open my app, this notification doesn't show up.

Yeah all mobile ISP's record http activity on their networks - just like other ISP's.
This particular instance here looks like it is requesting a public key for the Vodapay application.

Do you mean it shows up or do you mean it used to show up and now doesn't?
