Vodacom repair cost

I got this quote from Vodacom (about 2 months ago) for my Galaxy S6 which had a problem charging up. I understand there could be other problems with the phone which needed to be changed but R7000 seems extremely excessive to repair.

Since then my phone has completely switched off and screen went blank so I can understand there was issues but still surprised nontheless.

Just thought I'd share. This is not a complaint or hate thread but just got a shock at the amount.

S6 would be out of guarantee and warranty, so probably just quoting you for a replacement s6

You can get a secondhand one for R2500 there abouts.
