VODACOM Ruining ONLINE GAMEPLAY

Hello
I am a Gamer
I use my modem for online gameplay
, and had no problems what so ever before. not even lag.
since Sunday 6 May I can log into my Game and Would almost instanlty get disconnected. I tried over and over.
Today the same . My other friend playing a different online Game is also complaining . His problem also started Sunday morning about 7 am. Web pages are slow and I can see the modems ping coming to a halt at 0 . We are from KZN Newcastle .
I recently registered with Vodacom 2gig promotion Data Contract.

Has there been maintenance in the Area ? or is our Gameplay ruined now?

I have indeed been playing with my 3G modem for over 2 years the same game online without problems .

Have you tried:-
  1. Calling 155?
  2. Tried sending a Email to [email protected]?
  3. Sending a PM (Private Message) to "VodacomData" the Vodacom Rep on this forum?

You will be assisted by one of these choices to resolve the problem before posting the moan.:D

indeed. I have done that as well.

The chances of having a sudden and random lag spike are really high though... nothing to do with the ISP but external conditions, so its just better to have ADSL

Yeah, ok, I don't think anybody would disagree with that. Some of us don't have that capacity though. I definitely wouldn't play an FPS using 3g though.

HoN, LoL, DOTA2, SC2, DIABLO3(hopefully).

Just don't expect to be nr1 in a game like tribes ascend or any reaction based shooter where reflexes is more important that strategy. Might be useful to mention which part of Newcastle you are from, probably tower issues.
