Vodacom ShakeOff isn't a competition

Got a lot of Kauai drink vouchers and those mystery 2 piece puzzle crap and random data amounts that is valid for only the day you won it which made me lose interest
Did you get the Kauai drinks from the free daily shakes or the mega ones?

I was wondering what these Vodacom handjob SMSes are about (new SIM), I will continue to ignore them.

I used to get them with the normal free daily shakes many months ago, but havent got any in months , I don't have much points for the mega shakes and when I do I get 2 puzzles which I know I'll never win. I'm.more interested in the free drinks lol
I pretty much shake for the shakes these days lol

I still think it's a waste of time tbh
Free smoothies and nandos... I guess we have different opinions.

the way I see it, I’ll be buying airtime regardless of the competition. If I get freebies for doing so I’ll welcome it with open arms

The coupon collectors problem.
The biggest scam ever.

Read all about all over the Internet. It must be the second most analysed scam bar lotteries.

And then to rub salt into the wounds, VC publishes a winners list. Now IF you check the winner's list you will note that the pics used look just like a bunch of stock pics some news sources use.

The maths is not all that difficult to work through before you fall for their BS.

They are also very good at finding what "small" victories will keep you coming back for more.

Like the Coffee coupons or the PnP vouchers for a free 440 ml coke, or that one that catches me and the wife all the time, the R 25,00 off if you spend more than R 250 at Dischem.

All you have to do to get one of these every month is make sure you have location activated when you visit Dischem, with your mobile device, and two of them if you go there with two devices!

The idiots think we are all blind stupid fools.
So much for the keep location theory on. I just got. R30 off big save stores. Which aren't in KZN where I live. Anyone want it?

I got a few smoothies as well, and all kinds of other random stuff (online trial courses + smaller data bundles). Which at best is a bait-and-switch tactic, considering the competition I was actually entering.

That is the right attitude to have. Take the freebie if it comes your way, but to actively pursue the "big" prizes is just foolhardy, especially if this goes hand in hand with a resource that expires on you.

The big save and a few others are just the normal attention grabbers. They know 90% of those are not going to be claimed.

Lol, only two promos? Those are rookie numbers :D

But it's definitely a case of theory confirmed ... every single puzzle piece I get now is just a duplicate. Oh well.

The "small prizes" the duplicates kick in at one away from complete. The big prizes the duplicates kick in at half of the puzzle pieces.

I play the shakedown every day just to prove the theory, Damned if I am going to fuel their stupid games by "buying" anything I don't need. If I win great if I don't, had fun proving the maths.

just another worthless competition, to get people to spend money they dont have.

just like this one from McDonalds, although To be fair, I personally remember somebody who actually won something substantial.

even a video explaining what are the odds of winning,
(lets put it, that in order to win, you have to spend more than the prize almost)

I'd rather shake something else...
