Hi,
Recently I purchased an unlocked Huawei E5776 3G router, as I travel overseas quite a lot and needed a good device. However when I got home I decided to try it out on some of my prepaid sims to see if it really was unlocked. My Vodacom sim was not recognized by my device whereas my MTN sim was recognized straight away. Any solutions to this problem?

Which model 5776 did you buy as MTN, VODACOM, TELKOM MOBILE all have different 4G frequencies Which country and what price did you pay for your 5776.?

Firstly try to establish if your device will operate on these frequencies: Mobile Broadband Frequencies
GSM = 850/900/1800/1900 Mhz
UMTS/3G = 900/2100 Mhz
LTE/4G = 800/900/1800/2100/2600 Mhz. These are known as open/unlocked frequencies. Check on frequencies used in the country of purchase. If your device is of the open/unlocked variety then any RSA Sim must operate. If it is locked then ask the other experts to resolve that one.
Hope this info was of some assistance.
