Hey Guys

I moved to Centurion Eco Park recently, and Vodacom's signal at the new place is really poor with the the normal USB dongle. So what I'm trying to figure out is how I can make the Vodacom sim card work in my MTN router, seeing that I have a external antenna for the router and get full signal to MTN networks, I was thinking the router might also work to get better reception for Vodacom.

When I put the Vodacom sim card in the router, the signal indicator just goes red (normally green when it has signal, and orange when its searching for signal). Any idea how I can get it to work?

Thanks

Reboot your router after you have put the VC sim card in.

BTW, you should post this in the Vodacom section

I've tried the rebooting before, still have the same problem, my bad on posting in the wrong section, I only read "broadband" and didn't see the "news articles" part, any mods here that can move my thread please:)

I've tried with CellC in that router, so Vodacom should work.
SIM inserted correctly?
Change connection to manual and create new profile with Vodacom APN details.

Aah this here sounds like it should work, will try when I get home thanks.

Edit: Just an update, Broadcom's advice did the trick, thanks!
