Vodacom - SMS works, calls and data don't

Hi

Wondering if anyone has had a similar situation where you cannot make or receive calls and data does not work. SMS works perfectly though. Went in to a vodacom store and they didn't even know what's up. Any advice?

I think they need to reauthorise your line or something like that. Happened to me a few months back. Took a few calls to the call center before I found someone who knew how to fix it.

As a make shift solution, try the following:

1. Perform a manual network search.
2. When the list of available networks comes up, select MTN. Let the registration fail.
3. Perform a new manual network search. When the list of networks comes up, select Vodacom.
4. Reboot and test
