I'm am tempted to gather a group of people to do the same at the EFF headquarters every time their Chief opens his mouth and spews hate speech, but am worried that I would not find a single person who is both fundamentally against the EFF and able to behave like a savage. However, they on the other hand have the pick of the litter.
Or as I like to call it: Affirmative Shopping.
Why then did these EFFing criminals not steal the big screen TV seen mounted on the wall in the video?
There were more than enough EFFing criminals and plenty of time to get that TV off the wall and steal it unopposed.
I don't think democracy was ever compatible with africa. a continent where communism was held in awe as it made everybody equally poor and striving for excellence and liberty of the individual has been frowned upon.
There is a culture of mediocrity and apathy you see on a daily basis and it's fscking soul destroying .
Completely absurd thing to say democracy could very well have thrived in Africa. It's the arrival of colonialism and trying to move to democracy that seems to make it a little harder to gain traction.
Bollocks. How well did democracy work in africa before colonialism? It was not a thing with it's chiefs & kings! There was no democracy. Next you gonna tell me the evil whites from europe enslaved africans!?
How well has democracy worked post colonialism in africa? It's a concept brought here by the colonists (with law & a writing system, oh and christianity) and looking across africa it does not seem very popular.
Actually there was democracy here before colonialism and some tribes used it to curtail the powers of it's Kings and chiefs.
Christianity was present in Africa since the 1st century.
So the arrival of colonialism is what potentially made these things in compatible with Africa.
Because it most likely stems from the arrogance of your original statement.
The irony is it took me going to Europe to actually learn more about my own continent.

christianity only really saw the likes of egypt, somalia etc back in the day, there was none of that kuk in the interior or sub sahare.
Believe what you want but to this day democracy sucks in africa, tribalism is rife, homophobia is rife legislated and brutal, xenophia is rife. I can give you a long list of other screwed up cultural african practices that sends shivers down the spine of most people but quite normal here. Would you like a list with pictures?
I am not disputing that currently democracy is not compatible but you can't deny the influence colonialism has had on many African countries, yes there was good but let's not be ignorant and believe the bad also didn't have a lasting effect.
It all plays a part in shaping what we see today.
Meh, colonialism in the middle east & asia ended about the same time as africa, the americas probably a 100yrs earlier. out of the lot africa was probably the most primitive next to south america at the time, asia the most advanced followed by the middle east. africa is still the most primitive, asia shot ahead and you never hear them moaning about colonialism. Many prior colonies acknowledge the benefits colonialism brought them and go so far as to make tv documentaries about it. It's only africa that cannot seem to move forward, preferring to blame everything on the past. Even the actions of their current elected leaders get blamed on the past.
Some people say the europeans brought their contagious diseases to the continents and wiped out large portions of the local populations and that's akin to genocide. So what would those continents have looked like today without contact from outside? There would have been near zero progress as have been witnessed from remote societies as there really is no development in a vacuum. So maybe the south americans eventually got around to the science & skills to build boats and traveled to europe, they would have picked up the same diseases and we would still be blaming the europeans. There's no such thing as isolation to prevent this crap.
The entire world has been colonised over and over and over from the beginning of time and people loath to acknowledge this and how it played a role in the advancement of philosophy, education, science, law etc
Please don't insult Neanderthals. Remember there is no trace of Neanderthal DNA to be found in the indigenous peoples of the African continent, I guess that explains why it was so far behind the rest of the world on every level.
