I hope none of you are going to call the Vodacom support line on 082 135 anytime soon... Unless you can speak Zulu or something...

Give it a try! I have a voice clip of it, but I am unable to attach it here! I have a question, but I have no idea what are being said! No English, No Afrikaans, just ZULU! (I think!)

You number may be recycled and the last person that owned it was Zulu? contact vodacom via facebook messenger, they will sort you out

Careful with the racist label. Soon people are going to see it for the insult it is and those who do the labelling will be taken to court.

In any case. User217 simply says he cannot understand the language spoken on the line and there does not appear to be a way to request a different language.

So you are saying: racist === racist! === racist?

Quite labeling isn't the same as questioning [even in jest].

if you keep holding, youll get through to an operator usually (or 0 i think). if the person on the other end doesnt speak england, then just keep talking whatever afrikaner dialect youre used to

No, I am not a racist. Never was and never will be. We all inhale the same oxygen; we all bleed red and we all cherish the future of our children. We are all the same. The colour of one's skin means nothing.

I am just disappointed; that is all. If they had followed the message with one in English then I would not have minded at all. I phoned them to have an issue resolved. An issue I am paying for and now I cannot understand a word of what is being said. Show me one person who will not be upset about that! Sort of we don't want you to understand so that we can continue taking your money!

I have had this number since the cell network was turned on in South Africa. (1992?) It has never been recycled, but thanks for the tip anyway.

Best to contact them on Facebook or Twitter.
