Vodacom Uncapped 4MB very patchy

I got my uncapped account yesterday, but it only works every now and then. It connects fine, but it stops working at random intervals during the day. It stays connected, but I cant ping out or access anything. Then after 15-30 minutes it will just start working again.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Nope. Ours is pretty stable actually (Randburg area). 15 minutes is roughly the default port timeout at the DSLAM - maybe a Telkom issue?

My capped accounts work perfectly. I'm running my clients on the uncapped now, and I have set up a netwatch rule that will switch it over to the capped account if It cant ping www.vodacom.co.za. So let's see how long it lasts.

BTW, do you know if the uncapped accounts are masquaraded or do we get dynamic public IPs?

You get public IPs. Static IPs are available.
