Vodacom upgrade frustration

Greetings all,

I'm having a problem getting an upgrade on my Talk130 contract, I went to a vodashop on Wednesday. I had the N96 in mind, but when I asked for it (knowing that I would have to pay in a certain amount) the woman told me that the N96 has been discontinued by Vodacom, this as well as the N79 and apparently the N95 8GB as well. They then offered me the Nokia E52 a phone that I am not willing to consider. Has anyone one else encountered this problem?

I'm going to try a different Vodashop till I find someone who is willing to help me.

I realize nokia isn't the only phone manufacturer in the world, but I'm a bit of a fanboy.

There should be some around.
But I wouldnt suggest you take it.

Its not a very good phone, the reason why its discontinued is because its R100 more than the N97, that doesnt make sense does it?

But check the other stores there might some still available and it could be cheaper.
