Vodacom upgrades unreal

So iam almost due for an upgrade on my one and only vodacom contract which is on top up 99. I logged on to their website to view my upgrade options. I noticed that my options do not allow me to get top up or uchoose flexi deal anymore. I am only eligible for smart S,M and L. Also am not eligible for all devices. I have to choose from the list provided.

So i called the upgrades number to find out why i could not see any flexi deal. I was told that the reason is that, my profile has not scored enough to qualify. Which is baffling because all of my eligible deals are open contract going from r100 to r1000. My chosen deal is going for R389.00 and is a top up option.

So my question is, how does this work? How can i qualify to get an open contract R1000 and fail to qualify for top up 200. Secondly how is it that Vodacom wants me to get a cheapest devices such as galaxy s3 mini on open contract for up to r1000 and not my requested LG G2 on R389.00

And i have noticed since calling the upgrades number, i am nolonger eligible for any devices.

@zizebra phone again and speak to a different agent else go into a Vodacom store. Since Vodacom dropped the free upgrade fee when ordering online, I know go instore.

Same deals, same prices.

I already have Cellc contract R389 where i get 100min,100sms and 1gb data but , I cannot put all my eggs in CellC basket. And i have already spoken to different vodacom agents without success. I guess one last option is to try get into a Vodacom shop.

Vodacom does not like fixed cost contracts. They cant sharkattack you on those...

If you have decent signal where you are, I'd also recommend Telkom Mobile since they give up to 5 gig if you take certain phones on their contracts.
