This is making me absolutely ****ing mad.
I am busy with calls for important work and this is what is happening:

I am on a call, half way through, it goes dead, all of a sudden I can hear the person again, like nothing even happened.
Then it cuts off.

I am seriously losing my fing patience with this piece of bloody **** network.

Anyone else having this issue?

It may be the phone but if this is happening, how the hell does this pass Vodacom testing??
The phone is not rooted, no hack, no nothing, stock standard !!

Wonder how much money this is costing me in lost business???

I am at the stage where I am about to contact my attorneys on this I have had enough.
I would love Vodacom to look at my bill now and see what has been going on the last 30 minutes.

I had similar and even worse with mtn and logged a call with the technical team .... but they are absolutely useless .... if they gave me access to the network I would probably figure out the problem in less time than it took me to log the damn call
so its not just vodacom ..... but would love for someone to take them to court on the level of service they promise and what they provide

probably only get better once some1 takes them to court and force the issue ... or if we can get some decent ppl into ICASA and/or DoC .... which is probably only ever gonna happen once the ANC is out ... so if we believe zuma ... then we will only get decent service when jesus comes :)

I am also having major problems with dropped calls on Vodacom. When I demanded a report from them as well as a credit they refused and stated "if I want the report I must subpoena them to court".How's that for arrogance.I am still waiting for a credit after 3 months.

Bloody disgraceful, I will not stop reporting this **** service from them.

Marine, are you stationary or in your car?

if you are stationary try selecting gsm or wcdma only mode, which ever has strongest signal.

Been using a S3 (LTE version) in the Sandton area for the last 2 weeks without any issues. And I'm on the phone a lot. A while ago had issues on the corner of Grayston and Catherine but that was due to the cranes there stuffing up some microwave backhaul links. Been fine for the last few weeks though.

marine, mail me your address and I'll ask the guys to check.

No land line for business calls?

Calls dropping frequently on the Vodacom network has basically become the norm. I can't remember the last time I made or received a call that didn't require either myself or the other person to have to redial at some point during the conversation due to a lost connection or dropped call. Just another reason why I plan on jumping ship at the end of the year.
