Anyone else having issues with Vodacom VoWifi currently, or can confirm that it's working? I usually use VoWifi when in the UK (where I am at the moment) but it stopped working a few days ago.

Had to download Yolla, top up, call 082135 and speak to Vodacom, who were actually helpful. Apparently roaming wasn't properly enabled (which I'd already known about). Unlike previous calls, they were happy to enable roaming, and my phone connected to Vodafone within a few minutes. VoWifi wasn't working, but after restarting device in flight mode, it connected via VoWifi and now I can make calls to SA and send/receive SMSes.

One thing that's still not working, and has not worked ever while roaming, is inbound calls. All calls go to voicemail - probably a good thing due to the amount of spam calls I get - I don't really want to be paying for those anyway.

Update: all sorted. Inbound and outbound calls working fine, SMS in and out also fine. I set it to a network which Vodacom does not have an agreement with, so it stays stuck on VoWiFi all the time now.

To get inbound calls working, I had to get Vodacom to do a reset on my line, whatever that means.

Yes, put your phone into airplane mode.
Turn on wifi and test calling, inbound and outbound.
Works for me, tested local and international in and out.

Inbound calls charged at international roaming rates even when the phone is on flight mode.
