Vodacom vs MTN prepaid

Which is the better value for money Prepaid network , strictly as back up , voice and data.
MTN or Vodacom ? and which of their offerings/ packages do i go for ?

I used to be a loyal Vodacom prepaid customer until their network here went to ****. Been 3 weeks now of low signal strength, one minute it's on 4G than drops to 3G and than down to Edge and up and down the whole time.

Loaded MTN airtime and data and what a huge difference in speed and everything. MTN much, much better.

The only problem is that MTN data is more expensive than that from Vodacom. At least that's what I've found so far.
