I haven't even got ESKOM let alone ADSL or HSxPA...
So Vodacom VSAT was my only other option. And they have a special 'till end Jan '14.

Anyone here have any experiance with this product?
Any tips and/or advice I could use?

Signed up for the 3+3GB option @ R465/month. Free hardware, free installation.

Now to get the D-Link ADSL router with WiFi working through the VSat router...
VSat router has 1xLAN port with DHCP and DNS. How would I need to setup the D-Link router to use only the WiFi for access via the VSat router?
Only way to connect the two router is via the LAN port on the Vsat router and into one of the 4 LAN ports of the D-Link router.
Bridge with DHCP disabled?

Buy a cheap wireless access point and save yourself the drama.

You don't want a router behind a router.

Yeah, but money is an issue, always is.
Strange thing is, I connected the VSat router to the D-Link router without changing anything on the D-Link (it was configured to connected via the 3G/USB port), and it works! Sommer-just.

The laptops and tablets connect via the WiFi no problem, but instead of the D-Link supplying the IP, the VSat gives the IP's.

Will screw around some more later.

Doesn't sound right, I suspect your DLINK is still giving the IP's unless you've for DHCP Relay enabled and pointed it to the VSAT in which case it should work well enough.

Problem is you are more than likely sitting with a double NAT now which could result in some other strange issues, unless the Dlink transparently switches it's own Natting off when you enabled Relay mode which isn't a given but a possibility.
