Vodacom / VVM and fraud

So some clown in Joburg went and took out a cell phone contract in my name, apparently you only need a persons ID number and by magic you can get a phone etc.
After contacting Vodacom (because VVM phoned me saying I owe them money from this) Vodacom investigated and came back saying yes there was fraud committed in your name and they apologized etc.

You would think this would be the end of it, but no VVM debt collectors still phone every single day, multiple times a day! No answer from Vodacom on their fraud line, email contacts etc.

Any idea wtf to do? because on top of this your credit score now has an "issue" because of this fraud in your name....

Vodacom ferking one South African at a time, nothing new here.. Now with debt collectors you just have to ignore their calls, the more you answer and talk to them the more they will frustrate you. They dont care whether the contract was opened fraudulently or not, they will keep hounding you.

Speak to Vodacom and tell them to call of their debt collectors, Only vodacom can make them stop.

I suggest you go into the Physical store and ask them to call the department responsible for fraud or finance so they can call the dept collectors off in your presence, dealing will call centres will have you pulling your hair out in frustration.

I've already gone bald pulling my hair out, transferred from one department (call centers bedroom) to another, back and forth... it's like the blind leading the blind in a wheelchair hurdles event! fml

I once had these debt collectors/chance-takers who said I owed money when I didn't. Called my lawyers and they stopped with the calls immediately. I wasn't in the mood to waste my time on their nuisance calls.

If you do have lawyers, use them.
