Vodacom Wap vLive settings

Hey there,

I know this post probably doesnt belong here but could someone please try and help me with this.

I've got a V360 Vlive phone which worked fine up until my girlfriend put her mtn sim card in the phone.

Problem: All applications that used GPRS worked fine when i had my vodacom sim in it using Vlive. When she put her mtn sim in it did not download the mtn settings but rather used the vlive ones which was set as default and worked fine. When i got my phone back and put the original vodacom card back in. All applications that use GPRS would not work and i get an error 400 message.

I've tried manually creating new wap settings which failed. Tried downloading new standard vodacom wap settings (not the vlive settings). Nothing works.... The last time i had the same problem i was asked to take it to vodacare because it was a vlive phone which i did and it was sorted but i cannot keep running to them every time i have this issue.

Could someone please tell me how to get around this.

Have you tried a factory reset on the phone?

Thanks for the reply. Yes i have tried factory reset. No joy unfortunately.

Weird thing is that Vlive settings work fine with an mtn sim in it yet vodacom is what it was designed for.

Would appreciate any other help you can offer.

Hello Moto .

If I remember correctly... Go to the browser, look under the settings/sessions for the connection profiles.

Create a new profile, name it whatever (e.g. VLive!), APN should be vlive and the connection HTTP or Socket with the port on 8080.

If that doesn't work, try changing the APN to internet.

P.S. Homepage for VLive is live.vodafone.com and this only works on the vlive APN AFAIK.
