Is this 2 years on every device?
Ie 1 year manufacturer and 1 year Vodacom like the old days?

I've heard it takes 3 weeks and pretty much a nightmare to deal with.

How are they nowadays?

Iphones - 1 year
Most other devices such as Samsung - 2 years (battery has a 3 month warranty or some such)

Repair times varies depending on the fault and availability of spares .... and competency of the repair center you are dealing with.

iPhone only a year?

Whew!

Thanks Ockie

...and if they can actually repair it in your province

They always used to send our phones to JHB to repair.

Yeah, as if there were never any skill in any other province.

Local repair centres, like what you will find in many malls (Formerly known as Vodacare) can repair up to a certain level. If it is a highly technical repair, or something that the manufacturer dictates may not be repaired localy but must go to high level repair then the phone is sent to ARC in Midrand for the repair to be completed.

That is ridiculous that there is only one repair centre

/Not aimed at you, ok? :D
