aNYBODY ELSE GETTING 'VODACOM" wi-fi?

I get Vodacom wi-fi on my imate,phoned voda they said its not yet ready.....

im not picking up the tower as such reason i placed a mtn sim in the phone and did the wi-fi thing and there SSID: vodacom CHANNEL 6 with a BSSID the works!

As i said b4 i phoned voda and asked so this not made up

around mt edgecombe, i see voda testing it out coz the other day u find it the next u dnt....

wifi only has a coverage of 50-100m from an access point so you'd have to be really close to the node to receive signal.

It will take them a long time to achieve coverage anywhere near that of their GSM network. I expect that would only ever happen in high density CBD areas and nowhere else.

Yes i do know about Wi-fi as i used it at gateway's hotspot and I do live close to a tower,but I dnt get enough Wi-fi to use. But im changing my mind as to who and what is gaving me this Wi-fi as I know it VodaCom is going start with the whole " WiMAX " data. So im still in wonder as to why " Vodacom " came up as a wi-fi sp? Thats why I posted this up ( im thinking 155 thought i was talking about Wimax ) ...
