Has anybody got experience with this platform (Vodacom Wireless BC)

Our company has 2 links :

1x 8mbps in Meyersdal (22/24 month contract)
1x 40mbps in Vereeniging. (6/24 month contract)

Must say - Most unreliable service and poor support i have ever experienced.
This solution either is down or needs a power cycle "daily" , to get it to work.
We have online UPS batteries and surge protection on both sides so it is not customer side /power related.

Our Vereeniging link has been down for more than a week (i have logged tickets) - but alas - no service , no tech , no repair , no followup calls , zero.

Can it really be this bad?

Have you had any improvement in service?
Can you please also advise what type of installation this service entails? Is it just an LTE modem or more?

Anyone else with feedback on this service?

This is not LTE. Its point-to-point, so you'll need LOS to a tower.

Business Wireless - Point-to-point to Vodacom Tower
Business Connect - Point-to-point to Vodacom on a non-Vodacom tower

I tried signing up for Business Wireless, but unfortunately, I've got too many trees and would likely have instability. The service comes with 1-5 static IPs and optional VOIP. My installation was denied because they couldn't guarantee stability due to weak LOS. They did offer Business Connect, where they install Point-to-point on another operator tower, however, the cost is a lot higher(they include a free LTE 100gb fallback).

Thanks for the reply.
  1. So I assume they would install some sort of dish style antenna for the LOS on business wireless?
  2. Process would be to apply or just call them to do a site assessment for the business wireless?

No problem!

1. Yes, they would send out a team to establish LOS. I had to place my order before they would send the team.
2. Via the website - they have a lead form, and they call you back. You could contact a VC store and ask them, and they could get someone to call you back... Alternatively, I can pass your email/number to my VB account manager. Just PM me the details.

Thanks a mil webyep appreciated, will let you know shortly.
Have a few more months on my business connect LTE which is costing abit too much, hence the questions about the uncapped wireless option.
