Ok, either them or my employer.

So I'm on an iPhone Talk500s contract with 500Mb data bundle. I'm on holiday, data is depleted. So I try add a data bundle to my number. Tried Vodacom site, via online banking, *111# nothing works as I have a corporate account. So I phone Vodacom and guess what..."Sir, you're not provisioned on your account to add bundles".

So I can't add data, but they're more than happy for me to go OOB at R2 a ****ing MB. **** you Vodacom.

/rant over, thanks I feel better now

the account does not belong to you your company pays your bill.

Hmmm...it won't allow me to PURCHASE BUNDLES WITH MY OWN MONEY...but happily allow me to go OOB...FOR MY EMPLOYERS ACCOUNT. It is BS.

lol

it does not matter if you have a R1000 to blow on data the account is in the companies name and paid for by the company.

So get the person who is in charge of your account at vodacom and ask them to load what ever data.

i too have a corporate number and you cannot willy nilly add things.

If vodacom dont want your money or make things difficult ,go some where else .
Get an afrihost sim and a R50 phone .
Put the company sim in the R50 phone , its going to be cheaper than the OOB shark.
As you say fark them.

Just bought a mifi device and new sim with prepaid data loaded. Wonderful wifi all over the house. Was a biatch to find in Hermanus though, I possibly bought the last one in the Overberg. :)

What is the reasoning?

although the contract was given to you , you still need to go through a liaison at your company to request the add on of bundles e.t.c.

its like taking a company car going to mikes auto clinic and asking them to modify the car for you.

Nope, it's like throwing in petrol with your own cash, in stead of using the company fleet card.

There is no monetary risk to my employer in allowing me to add a prepaid data bundle. There is major monetary risk to my employer in allowing OOB. This smacks of opportunism to rape the customer...

Dude you missing the point this is so clear i cant understand why you cant grasp the concept of "it does not belong to you"

The contract is not in your name and if it is the company controls what gets added onto the line.
even so if you require a vas service you need a letterhead and someone in the company with signatory powers to sign off what you want added onto the line.

So speak to the lady that gave you the phone at the company and ask her to contact your accounts manager at Vodacom.
i have been through this with Engen already.

But you're happy if I refill the company car? :)

I get it. I'm just in a foul mood and my general intolerance for stupidity is being severely stretched at the moment... :p Getting my (large corporate) employer to resolve this for me just before Xmas has a lower probability than Vodacom sorting out their horrendous OOB practice.
