Decided to cancel my contract on 5 Oct 2015.
Spoke to the lady and asked when will I be billed up till.
Told me it will be till end of Oct.
Asked if this will be final bill and she agreed.
I then get invoiced at end of november.
When I queried with Vodacom by sending mail I got no response.
So I automatically reversed payment.
Now I get a call from Vodacom lawyers asking for payment and additional R 600 for lawyers fees.
Is this possible even though I was informed incorrectly.
If I pay amount owing to Vodacom do I still have to pay lawyers fees.

Asked if this will be final bill and she agreed.
Better that you get it in writing from them (email) and/or a voice recording. The times that I have cancelled contracts I have recorded the call. I have asked the person to clearly state their name, the date and time, confirm the cancellation date, and confirm that they will send me an email with all this info.
