Vodacom3G can you have a look at the history of the phone in the above mentioned Job Number.

Note: I work in Cape Town but stay in Strand by Somerset West. I can only hand my phone in on weekends and only collect it then aswell as thats the only time available to me.
Staff at Somerset Vodacare are good and I have no complaint about them.

Since the 13/05/2010 I have handed my phone into be repaired. Since then I have been in and out of the store 5 times and ALL 5 times there has been something else wrong with the phone (Straight from the shop). Look at the job history. I managed to get my fiance to take time off and get my phone for me as I was sure this time it would be 100%. Needless to say it isnt. Satellite wont get a signal in a open field with a clear sky. So lets see to this day from the 13/05/2010 I havent had use of my phone and been using my own spare phone. What is left for me to do? On the 5th visit I asked for another phone but get another 'dud' or refurbished unit it seems even though I asked for the phone to be replaced on the 5th time. Check call logs aswell regarding the 5th Job Card. Apparently was sent to the head technician at the third party repairer, but that is not of my concern but Vodacoms.

What is the next course of action since I was promised it would work? I want the phone swapped for a completely new 5800 still in its box or a gesture of good will, the N8 for unnecessary time and effort spent. I have wasted enough petrol and time when I shouldnt have had to besides not having my phone I am paying for as part of my contract.

Vodacom3G please can you esculate this. My contract expires in the next 4 months and Vodacom has left a sour taste in my mouth currently.

IMEI VALIDATION: THE IMEI CAN BE REPAIRED UNDER THE SECOND YEAR WARRANTY.
ACTIVATION DATE: 16/04/2008TXRX.SETTINGS SOFTWAREREPLACED ANTENNASCRATCHES AND DENTS ON COVERSREPAIRED BY THIRD PARTY

This phone has been booked in twice. The only thing I can suggest is that you book the phone in again. Tell the person to make a note on the job card (of which you must get a copy) to send the phone to ARC and request a exchange unit. Vodacare will only exchange the phone with the same make and model. Only if your model is discontinued and no exchange units is available will a exchange unit of the same value and functionality be issued.

Just a note: The above does not imply a exchange will actually be issued. It will be at Vodacare's discretion if it qualifies or not for a exchange.

The phone has been sent in 5 times (All 5 times to JHB) and on the 2nd time the board was replaced by a refurbished unit which still didnt work. That IMEI is prob the 2nd or 3rd replacement of the board. I have 2 other Job Card numbers aswell but cant find all 5 so have 3 job card numbers in total.
