Wow... you people have less than no idea the complexity to run a site like V4ME do you?

Raise your hands if you think its run off one server, and is that simple?

VC make sure you can get your data bundles in multiple ways, just because one of the easiest for you, but most complex for them goes down for a few hours you let forth a stream of abuse at the company?.. the mind boggles.

the easiest method would be to use the modem to recharge and also top up the data bundle--all using your credit card.--without actually physically moving from the comfort of the machine that is connected. Hence the eina's!

Well that sounds suspiciously like the service V4ME offers.. and it was down.... BUT it doesn't mean you're forced to browse at R2/meg.... there are other ways to get databundles if you MUST satiate your addiction to being online.

Think of it as being the proverbial straw on the camels back. Bad latency, outright network failures, nigh-unreachable customer "support" etc., and a highly strung personality...well, you get the picture.

i think vodacom 3g rocks

On Friday evening my ADSL went down....- now being a big BSG fan, and the last episode being shown in US, I needed net access to download the finale.

What to do, what to do ? Decided to give Vodacom3g a try....bought a few megs of data- started my download, no probs,.... then realised that my data bundle was not going to be enough....two hour special....tried to buy another bundle via*111#, got error have bundle already active - thought holy Frak! out of bundle rate of R2, bit too rich for this Cylone hating guy;-)

But once I got sms notification that my bundle was about to run out, was able to buy another bundle via Vodacom4me....there was no interruptions -real smooth and the speed impressed me, mind you I was using my old J750 samsung....but it was hitting 350 constantly.

Now if Vodacom drops their data rates or give more data for the money they are asking, I will make them my permanent connection provider to the net.

But all in all,good easy, smooth service I experienced!
