Just wanted to found out, what the policy sates and how it works. I have a phone about 3 weeks old now that has been declared "NUKED" as internet research states its a unfix-able error and needs to be returned to SP, so what is the method of this since 082111 is down anyone else know ? would it need to go into that whole process of being dispatched and sent to a repair center where we wait for ages ?? or will it just be replaced ? and if i got it deviled via voda upgrades center can i still go to any vodacom shop ??

Why dont you phone and find out? But yes, more than likely you are looking at a repair centre unless they accuse it of being water damage.

082 1944 but good luck... Only after having to wave the cpa act etc did vodacom replace my wifes 3 week old bb 9900. The wanted to give me a refurb.. Oh also had to phn RIM sa and get them to back me

If it does not fall withing the 7 days OBF window...then the phone will go through the normal repair process. You may either visit a Vodacom Shop who can book it in for you or you can go directly to a Vodacom Repair centre (previously Vodacare). High end phones like Blackberry, HTC etc are considered at the local branch...but in a lot of cases, it will need to be dispatched to the Advanced Repair Centre (ARC). There a decision will be made if the phone can be repaired or not.

wow a real shame, how can you know what is wrong with your phone within 7 days, looks like the repair lady says there is no difference between a high end phone or a lower end device! WOW 7-14 working days here we come!!!

So after my hellopeter complaint (seems like companies only listen this way) i got my repair bumped up and prioritized! Sent phone in last week Friday and my phone has now been dispatched back to Alberton Vodacom ready for collection within 48Hrs :) so pretty much a total of 5 working days to get this fixed and sorted....Not bad vodacom!
