Called today to enquire about my upgrade, got told it's only in December 2011...

However i took the contract out in December 2009? On Vodacon's system it says i took it out in March 2010 but my signed papers clearly shows December 2009?
Don't you upgrade in the 20th month?

Oh well, Cell C here i come........

March minus December = 4 months = 24 -20?

Maybe you upgraded in the 20th month last time, but your (old) contract still ran another four months.

Ok just got an email from customer care saying i can

“upgrade 16 December 2011. However contract may be cancelled at the end of August 2011 as August 2011 is the 24th month of your contract”

I think Vodacon has screwed something up here!

August 2011 = 20th month of contract
December 2011 = 24th month of contract

So Vodacon I think you got your dates the wrong way around!

E-Mailed a scan copy of my contract & Till receipt to VC Customer Care, They say that the incorrect date must have been filled in when i signed for the contract; however my till slip shows the same date as the signed contract. I give up its like farting against thunder! Vodacom seem to employ dumb people, how would it be possible to change the date on the thermal receipt I received from Vodacom?

Just be careful. The cancellation will only take effect at the end of the two year period (or whatever they think it is).

Fax it. Make sure you certify it first. They have a copy as well

Funny you should say that. I have had issues too with Vodacom.

My colleague upgrades and they tell him his upgrade is in 2 months time. They let him get an E7 for R800. But when I asked (my upgrade was like last year already), they tell me I must pay R2500. Inquired again, and it went up to R2550. Then I posted on the Vodacom fcebook page and then we had another waiting period. Price now, R2600.

They tell me about usage: I have generated WAY more than enough usage to buy more than 1 E7 CASH! They tell me about corporate billing, my colleague is also on corporate billing......in the end, I still dont have the transparent explanation I asked for.

INOfentse... The easiest solution was just to cancel all 6 of my contracts, if Vodacom don't care about customer satisfaction i will just take my R5000 a month to someone else. Like maybe Cell C or 8ta they offer much better value for money anyway, plus Vodacom's network is up the creak! Blackberry service always has a fault, 3G never works when you really need it and sms's takes forever to get through to the other end.

Sorry Vodacom, Red is a bad colour! Ever since cell c dropped the red they seem to be leading the pack. Vodacom has taken over from were cell c left off.

Lucky you kept all of that. I never thought I'd need it cos everything's on the system ??!!
