Vodafone 3G data card - Software installation fails

Hi Guys,

Am having a weird problem: The dashboard software won't install on my IBM Thinkpad.. I get as far as:

1) Put the CD in and enter Service Provider (SA -Vodacom), Language (English) and click on Next
2) Pass the requirement Test (All with OK) and click Next
3) Accept Licence agreement, actual Installshield app starts, click on Next
4) Enter user name, Organisation & Install for Anyone .. click Next
5) Select Install.. after about 90% I get an error message:

"Vodafone Mobile Connect Installer Information: Internal Error 2738", press OK, which aborts the installation...

My Hardware / Software config is:

- IBM Thinkpad T40
- Windows XP (SP2 + all upgrades)
- Logged in as admin
- Novatel Merlin U630 3G Data card
- Dashboard software version 5.00.17_0A

After checking IBM's, Novatels and Vodafone/Vodacom FAQ I'm still lost..
Any help is appreciated..
 
Please call (082) 155 and they'll put you through to the Data Help Desk. If these guys can't help you they'll direct you to one of the support centers where one of the Vodacom IT guys will sit with you.

Shows you how...havn't personally had this problem, but I do recall something like this from a diff. product.
