Vodafone 845 stuck on 2g for Cell C

Hello.

I bought a CellC 24GB promo SIM for my Vodafone 845 phone. It worked great on 3G until this past Saturday when I tried to tether it to my Windows PC using the supplied software. Not only did I fail to tether the phone, but since then, the phone will only connect to CellC 2G (on GPRS as the phone does not support EDGE).

It seems as if the radio has changed modes to exclude the 900Mhz frequency.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have THE SAME PROBLEM!!!!! If I come up with something i'll post. Go to android market and try d/ling a network scanner of sorts

Have you check the Wireless & Network --> Mobile networks to see if 3G is disabled there or set to 2G?

3G is enabled. We're able to discover Voda, MTN and even Telkom 3G... just not Cell C

Sounds like it isn't 900Mhz compatible. Did you do a firmware update of some sort when you plugged it into your pc? Check to see if there is any documentation on the firmware you currently have..... might help

it is quad band & the cellc 3g did work (awesomely) then stopped. very sucky!
