Hi,

Forgive me is this has been asked before:

I've had Vodacom for a few years (non contract) and they've got pretty bad recently - so I'm jumping ship and moving to Telkom.

a) Can I use my standard Vodacom modems. I have an E220 and K5-something (Vodaphone branded)
b) No contracts? Simple as buying a card, popping it in, activating and waiting a few hours?
c) Coverage map is offline right niw. Is anyone is Randpark Ridge using the service?

I'm using a Vodafone branded modem on Telkom 3G, works better than Vodacom on downloading(sssh). (Depending on your software you use,I know Vodafone software does not allow other networks you just got to get the standard software. My modem is a ZTE one so Im using their standard software)

Pre-paid isit that all ready, and its a freaken pain to go top-up

No data bundles on pre-paid as yet only on contract(month-to-month)

Coverage: do the network test on a handset for SA66502 - You should pick up their GSM or 3G coverage

Got the SIM today - but just wanted to leave the store as they kept me quite a while trying to check street etc :/

Anyway - is there a way to check data usuage or account online? Or do I need a data logger on my PC once again?

A friend in North Riding is getting beteen 4-5mbps apparantly.

I get around 2mbps on in Randpark Ridge on my 3.2mbps modem - which is still twice as quick as Vodacom, which I dropped after 4 years.
