vodafone R217-2AVDIN3 unlock

Hello,

I purchased a vodafone SuperNet 4G mifi modem in India while travelling - model number R217-2AVDIN3.

Is there a way I can get the modem to work with our local networks. I unlocked the modem however it still does not work.

I seems its an Alcatel modem - is there a way to flash the modem and install the stock Alcatel software on it? or local Vodacom software?

Unfortunately most Routers are network locked requiring an purchased unlock code.

Good luck. The unlock code in India carries a Rs400 tag

Hi Ivanr, thanks for the reply. I purchased an unlock code and the modem unlocked successfully. However it still does not work with my local vodacom sim for some reason...

Sorry hear but purchasing any device from outside RSA comes with risks. Suggest you seek assistance from Vodacom advanced data support/ Vodacom 3G store.
