A brand new level of Vodacom disgustiness. Spam SMS from Vodapay for some "Spur voucher", but there is no option to opt-out by SMS reply. You can opnly opt-out of the marketing by going into "the app". Which is kinda heard if you don't want/need the app.

Not sure this is legal! Was there not an explicit legal requirement to accept an opt-out by zero-rated reply, I recall something to the effect?

I use an app called "Key Messages". It lets you block SMSs based on keywords.

I have a similar issue. I deleted my Vodapay account, but I can't stop the VodaBucks spam SMS. I've raised it numerous times with Vodacom, who can't seem to stop it regardless of your marketing settings. They say I must just block the number :cautious:

Anyone know what the legality is around not including an opt-out option in the SMS itself?
