Hi Everyone,

I'm very new to this site and would 1st of all say hi to all in SA:D

This is so frustrating, the "Voice Navigation Purchase" for the N95:(:(
I have visited other "com" sites in order to find out about this topic, but this seems to be a lost case all over the globe:sick:

I paid over R7k for my N95-1, with the main reason - GPS navigation. Nou it seems that this function is payable. This is real bullsh*t:( If I knew this, i would have kept my old Samsung D600 and just purchased a Garmin Nuvi for an additional R2,2k.) The hell with Nokia, if there's no way of getting this service free, I'm going to sell it - any offers:confused: How about I give my 1 month old N95 away for R5K cash:cool::cool:

Best regards,
A-man

I think it costs R750 to activate the navigation - that's still cheaper than R2200?

Also, if it's the 'old' N95 & not black 8GB one, you might have a hard time selling it.

Ja man

I feel your pain. I think that the Nok@k voice navigation subscription sucks and is really a cynical expoit of the gps potential of this phone. I think that as more and more manufacturers offer voice navigation for free, maybe eventually Nok@k will review their position.

I have an N95. When the bling rubs off, you will really get annoyed at having to charge the phone daily. You will have a car charger. You will have to get used to second-rate voiceless navigation. You will be disappointed. It's not a portable computer. It's not all it's cracked up to be. Sometimes I miss my Motorola that could hold a charge for 4 days. Oh and the camera sucks too. that's if you don't want all your photos to have a blue tinge and wait 2 seconds between when you press the shutter and when you get the photograph. I've never got a good shot of my kids cause they don't pose for 2 seconds........

And the slide rattles. Samsung make good sliders. Nok@k can't.

Oh well,

Charge daily and it's not a bad phone.

Update your firmware to the latest version, might help with some of your issues - or like the other dude, get rid of it cheap.
