I've seen a program here in the US for $150, Can't recall the name. Any views on this type of program? Recommendations?

The Speech Rocognition that comes with Vista Ultimate is also pretty awesome: you can switch from typing to going through menus to browsing to changing your music to launching programs, everything, just with your voice. Its pretty simple and pretty acurate.

You probably saw Dragon Naturally Speaking which is the premier program of its type in the consumer space, the other one is IBM Via Voice ..and you'll see that Nuance have picked up both franchises.

I know nothing about the latter but a lawyer I work for talks to his machine ALL the time - he barely types at all. Also, I recall a neurologist I worked for in the past who used (and probably still does) it for all his case files too.

Bottom line: (at least) Dragon really *does* work, but mic quality is everything (and Sennheiser WILL get you there)
