I would like some info on this as well. Would be very helpful.
PS! Sorry disabled - didn't mean to have you looking and there's nothing to help you out :)

No Problem Knowledge is great!...At least we'll both know that's if there's someone kind enough out there to inform usLOL

I use a couple - the cyberphone and the iConnect both made by VOIP Voice - http://www.voipvoice.com - I got both from Makro. The iConnect is great because it turns any POTS phone into a skype phone and lets you route normal landline calls through it. Both however require a computer.

Incredible Corruption sells the "OLYMPIA DUAL SKYPE AND DECT PHONE" - http://www.incredible.co.za/services/catalog/moreinfo.asp?sku=50689 - which frees you from needing a running PC.

would I be able to make use of skype without having the phone?
I've just got the basic headset and microphone...
And messenger does ahve the facility to communicate via Headphone and microphone right?

Sherbet - I got mine from Computer Mania R129.00 very basic, but nice. Genius brand - I can't afford to go any fancier :)

Mines normal plugs - but I suppose there would be USB

Before I got my VOIP Voice devices I used the USB headset that came with my PS2 SOCOM game and it was great - nice long cord too. :)

That's not bad I only really need the basics...Where's computer Mania?

And again! For my unanswered Question:...Do Telkom sell these VOIP phones/head sets
Reason is I can get to pay it off..Cause I have so much other important things to buy but I do need to talk to PF and friends overseas

Well i don't know if they're located anywhere near you (between the sun and the moon) :p - But in Cape Town area, they're in Canal Walk Century City or Maynard Mall Wynberg - I'll get the link for the site - if they do have one - they should

ABout Telkom - I was in their store in Canal Walk last night and don't recall seeing any

LOL thanks I will check where I am but here they are full of nonsense definately not the friendly type:mad: Been there too long need a change in staff...

Skype (and similar VOIP software) is free to any other Skype user, provided you already have an Internet connection - through your PC or directly with the more expensive devices. You need at least ISDN, preferably ADSL. If you use Edge/3G/HSPDA you will pay for the traffic (for incoming and outgoing) and could possibly end up paying a premium for VOIP traffic if you use MTN or Vodacom. Read the fineprint on their sites; it could become very expensive (R25/MB)
