I can't find a way to get Voip in some form integrated into my contact list, similar to how WhatsApp is, you open the contact and you can click on the WhatsApp link to call or message via WhatsApp?

Most modern phones support SIP natively?
How do I use that functionality?
Then I need a Voip acc that supports sip?

Isn't there a app that will do it natively, Skype etc?

Can the FNB Voip be used with a sip client?

Basically what I want is to be able to browse my native contacts list on an LG G4 and be able to decide to either dial a contact normally via cell networks or directly from the contact list call that number via the voip/sip

So then I'm assuming since you mentioned it that Skype does not work? Because that would have been my only other suggestion.

Do you already have the VOIP account? If not let me know and I'll sort it out for you, and get you setup with a native integration for Android...

FNB can do it, I have done it. It does not work exactly the way you want. Native sip is set as either always or VOIP numbers, so to do it the way you want you would need to duplicate each contacts number into a VOIP box and then select which to use.

You can then also config it to a certain incoming with your VOIP number as well.

No, was hoping for a local Voip account with sip, will pm you now to find out more.

How do you do it with an FNB connect Voip account without using their app, do you have the settings?

FNB connect VOIP seems to work like a charm, much easier to use with a dedicated SIP app and seems noticeably better audio quality.

Both these SIP VOIP apps seem good, free and no ads :
CSipSimple
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.csipsimple&hl=en

Zoiper IAX SIP VOIP - better interface and integration of the phones contact list
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoiper.android.app&hl=en

Setting up FNB as a SIP account was an absolute breeze
User name - the number FNB gives you for the FNB Connect VOIP account, they also call it a user name
Server - voice.fnbconnect.co.za
Password - the Password for the FNB Connect VOIP account user name (not your FNBconnect accounts website login password, I tried that first..)

With both apps there are lots of other settings but I just put those 3 in and instantly it registered the SIP account and I could start dialing, cheers Skype, really convenient to go through FNB if you have a bank acc with them.

FNB rates are:
Telekom national - 43c/min
SA mobile networks - 89c/min
Most European mobile networks - most around 40c/min??
Shows how we are still getting ripped by the local mobile network's interconnection fee...
You can check all their rates here:
https://www.fnbconnect.co.za/talk-rate-calculator.shtml

But I haven't managed to integrate it with the native dialler/contact list yet, anyone know how to do that?
DJ said he knows how, share it my bru!

I've also done it, cannot seem to find the settings on my LG G3, but I had it setup and working on my HTC One, the question I suppose is, was I using the stock dialer. Hek, I may of been using cyanogen at the time too.

Apparently on Lollipop and many new flagship phones they have removed native SIP functionality, you have to install an app. I remember on my Note and other phones there was the option to add a SIP account in the phone settings and apparently that is in the G3 but not on the G4 which is what I currently have.

Well the 2 apps I linked to allow integrating into the native dialer, FNB sip was working really well and now even with the native FNB app it won't make on net calls, not sure what gives.
